The role

You’ll be responsible for developing client relationships, growing existing accounts and supervising account activities. You’ll use your deep understanding of performance marketing (handling both creative and data) to lead the client and our internal team to build and optimize campaigns for our clients. 

Our ideal candidate for this full-time position has the strongest written and verbal communication and client relationship building skills we have ever seen. They are exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to think both creatively and analytically. This professional is highly self-motivated and confident, who feels comfortable in a seriously fast paced environment. 4 to 6+ years of experience in digital media/media planning and client management required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and build relationships with our clients, new and existing, managing a portfolio of (very approximately!) 20 clients.
  • Optimize client relationships – deepening and strengthening our strategic value to their working day, business and bottom line. This is always about driving performance and can often also be about using our hard-earned reputation to help win campaigns for additional lines of business.
  • Own the marketing strategy and execution for each client:
    • Run the performance data. Work with our media strategists to uncover what is working, fix what isn’t, and do so for every campaign, every live day. Produce retrospective reports too.
    • Work with our in-house design team to ensure that every client gets best-in-class email creative, from the get-go, and regularly as the partnership progresses.
    • Solve tension points or navigate complex arrangements constructively – knowing when to escalate.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot basic technology and know when to escalate technology and tracking issues.
  • Play a solid part in company client finance. Ensure paperwork, budgets, pacing, projections and billing are accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of digital marketing concepts and terminology from 4 to 6+ years experience in an agency, marketing technology firm or in-house marketing team. Direct response, customer acquisition and/or email marketing experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle both creative and analytical demands within this role. 
    • Experience managing multiple client partners simultaneously.
  • Experience and successful track record in client management, with clients who can recommend you! 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, report on, and forecast a media / marketing budget
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Basic PowerPoint / Keynote + Excel
  • Basic HTML or Cake / Google Analytics (or similar) experience a plus
