The role

As VP of Operations, your mission will be to scale the operating infrastructure of the company, maximizing efficiency and productivity through continuous process improvement and change management. An ideal candidate has extensive experience building out operations for a performance marketing agency. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are exceptional and you thrive at developing solutions that push innovative boundaries. You’ll work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and growth at Atwave.

Goals / remit

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems while identifying and creating efficiencies with regard to team and client capacity.
  • Partner with senior leaders in the development and management of annual and quarterly goals – mature the company’s OKR muscle and increase focus on accountability and clarity through these processes.
  • Manage quarterly and yearly planning processes, building systems to ensure we’re staying accountable to our goals, establish and run key meetings.
  • Work closely with the executive team to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, training, professional development, performance management, and retention of team members. Fill in functional gaps when they arise until a role is in place to address them.
  • Responsible for company wide P&L management and accounting; develop financial plans to direct company resource allocations in line with budget management.
  • Drive company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
  • Provide high-level project management of strategic initiatives and special projects, such as employee compensation plans, business expansion, software transitions, etc.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in operational leadership positions
  • Experience building out operations in a product led growth company with a proven track record of team management
  • Strong bias towards data with a strong ability to execute, measure results, and demonstrate progress
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Extensive experience with budget and business plan development
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines
